Journal entry by Heidi Grenz

Well today was officially the last day of “induction”  We made it - today started out a little rough as the hungry boy had to be NPO until about 10 this morning, there were lots of tears and he was mad at the world.  He had his spinal tap done and given the methotrexate, he also had his first bone marrow biopsy.  All of the procedures went well and he woke up requesting chicken nuggets 😂 and in a much better mood.  We won’t know the results of the bone marrow for a couple days (they thought maybe Tuesday) when we have these results we will get our next “arm” of our road map which will tell us what we will be doing for chemo, he will now be in “consolidation”.  We were able to hit the road and got home safe and sound!  We will be praying for good results of the bone marrow.  I am also getting quite anxious as I had a baby appointment the other day and am  dilated to a 4 😬  All I wanted was to make it home from this Fargo trip - so I have accomplished that!
