As we all know it had been raining for several days last week and several of you saw beautiful rainbows 🌈 and it made you stop and think about Nicolette and maybe say an extra pray for her . God was holding our hands as we got ready to make our way to the cities again for Nicolettes check up and scans , reminding us along the way that , “hey I’m still here “! He sent the rain just in time for a rainbow a day almost We received so many beautiful pictures of rainbows with thoughtful words for Nicolette. We could find rainbows 🌈 visible to us , but others would never notice them, but we noticed them all , it’s like a treasure hunt that God is reminding us to follow him and he will lead us on the right path .
He places them strategically along our way just as a reminder! Because yes it’s been hard and scary , sometimes we find ourselves almost begging to just have a normal life again, to not always have that weighing on us, to stop pretending everything is fine . To let Nicolette do what other 28 year olds are doing and not worry 24-7 when it’s going to all come crashing down again ! He sees when we are struggling and doubting it all and ready to give up! So he throws us a “life line “in the form of a Rainbow 🌈
And at night I use “phone a friend “and talk to him directly he always answers no matter what time I call.
Nicolette had he scans yesterday Sunday May 5th and today we saw Dr. Neil her oncologist she was very pleased with the scans and showed us yesterdays compared to Novembers when they saw that spot , Dr. Neil said That yesterdays scan looked better then 6 months ago she said it looked like that spot had gotten smaller so she was very happy with the results and so were we!!!
Saturday we went to the Lego convention in Fargo on our way to the cities , gotta throw something fun in once in awhile to keep stress levels down ! Nicolette was in her glory! She got herself a new Lego set that “only “ has 10, 297 pieces 😱 Thanks in part to Kim and Maggie ❤️ That should keep her busy for a week or two ! She can't wait to get home and work on it.
So we will rest easy tonight and go back to Minneapolis in September for more scans but for now we will still keep chasing Rainbows 🌈 and tonight before I go to bed I’m gonna phone a friend and thank him for such a wonderful gift! 💝
