Journal entry by Mandy Zaballos

Today was a big day. Nick completed his

Six month round of chemotherapy infusions. I am in awe of Nick every day; he has not let this diagnosis drag him down in the least. He has been back to work since January, graduated out of all of his therapies and is in what they call remission for his vasculitis. He’s back to his amazing, sweet and goofy self and I am so very grateful.

Next week we venture back to UCSF for the next step, finding out which medication he will be on for the rest of his life.

While this rare disease is not curable we are so thankful for an incredible team of doctors who worked quickly to get Nick where he is now.

God is so so good. We have found so many blessings through this diagnosis and we have been loved on hard by our people. I am eternally grateful.

I’m m only allowed to upload five photos but you catch the drift, we did a picture each time 🩷

To my Nick, thank you for fighting so hard to be here with us. You’re our everything, you’re my everything. I’m so lucky to get to do life with you, in sickness and health. I love you babe.
