Day 28 of Nick’s hospital stay.

Praise God! We are officially on the path to recovery! Nick is doing so much better everyday. I am shocked with his progress since the vent came out. He has an iPad with him and he is able to FaceTime us to talk whenever he wants. The girls love being able to see him.  His voice is still very soft from the tube irritating his vocal cords. He says it doesn’t hurt to talk but sound doesn’t always come out. He started eating solid food yesterday and that is making him feel stronger. Physical and occupational therapy worked with him today also. It tired it out! He still can’t stand or even get out of bed but we knew this would be a bit of a process. The girls and I brought him a milkshake today. We are not allowed back to see him but we can leave things for him with the security guard. All in all things are looking really good. We have some challenges that pop up occasionally but nothing like we were dealing with for the last month. 

 

Thank you again for your prayers. Nick knows how many people have been praying for him and he sends his thanks also. We are still so amazed by all of the love sent our way.
