I was overwhelmed by how many friends and relatives made the trek in person to join us for Nick’s visitation on Thursday, the prayers and remembrances on Thursday evening, and his funeral mass (which began with my eulogy at 12:50 on the recording) yesterday morning.  After the entombment and luncheon that followed, our family and a few close friends raised a glass to toast his life with a dram of his favorite scotch, ending the formal celebration of his life.  The kids and I soaked up the outpouring of love and support – but even so, the two days went by in a blur.  The celebration would not have been possible without the help and support of so many friends and family members, our church family, the caring people at Heeley Sundquist and Holy Sepulchre, the gorgeous flowers sent, and your presence whether in person or in spirit.   Many thanks to each and every one of you.
