Sign In to Show Your SupportI was telling a congregant today that I hear often that because I am a pastor my prayers are heard more by God. I always laugh at this because I know full well that God hears all prayers. God heard prayers. We had what is good news. I was at peace going into this and new God had me because so many of you were praying. The results were this...There has been growth but it in the doctor's opinion presents like scar tissue. The growth is so small (2mm). Even if it is tumor it is too premature for brain surgery which would be the next step if it were to grow more and present differently. For now, I will manage related symptoms through a new slow-release version of what I am currently on which makes me thrilled. I will return in 2 months for another scan to see if there has been more growth and if it presents differently. In short we had good news but will continue to pray that in 2 months it still presents as scar tissue or has grown enough to do surgery to have whatever it is removed and definitively know if it is brain tumor growth or scar tissue. Thank you all for the prayers and I ask you to keep them coming. I go back on June 6 for that follow up. For those who have been or been alongside someone with cancer knows it's often a wait and see game. In this case though it is a hopeful wait and see. I am confident that God has me no matter what and whatever the next scan shows will be what it is.
