From flat on his back Sunday, hoping just to get some of the tubes and wires and leads and pumps removed, to Wednesday, when the incredible doctors, nurses, and staff - and our hero in a hospital gown - are now walking the hallway of the Cardio Thoracic SICU. No marathons yet - but baby steps. Sitting in a chair, having a meal, slowly regaining strength - the small victories are highly valued and essential.
