Psalm 126:3. "The Lord has done great things for us, of which we are glad!" 

WE ARE HOME and ready to begin the Christmas festivities with our family! Neal got a good post-op report, and  was released by his surgeon on Wed Dec13, we flew home on Thursday afternoon. Then we did some sleeping, I mean some real needed sleeping that night.  We have been busy unpacking, washing clothes (well one of us has haha), and starting to think about the holidays. 

Neal did have to bring his special friend (drain) home with him, but the MD Anderson surgeon has already communicated with the oncologic surgeon here  @ Methodist Gerrmantown about managing the removal of  the drain for Neal when it is time. That's great, so we don't have to go right back to Houston too soon.  

Neal is really doing well with his recovery, and his appetite is improving slowly. He still has a little more than 3 more weeks of healing  before he can  resume any activities. Fatigue is still his daily reminder of all that his body has been through over the past 8 months. His surgeon said fatigue is the most common symptom after having part of the liver removed, so we know he is right where he should be @ this time!

We want to say a sincere thank you to all of you who have diligently prayed for us both through this long process, and all the ones who have reached out through texts, cards, meals, acts of service/love, and many words of encouragement that have been spoken to us. We have truly felt God's presence and strength, carrying us on all the hard days. Great is His faithfulness!
