Good morning. I Wanted to share the blessings I received yesterday at Neal’s service.

I was able to see and feel the love from each person I spoke with. The hugs I received were genuine, generous and full of healing power.

I got to really SEE my TRIBE. The (mostly) women who were active in our cancer journey. Each time I laid eyes on one of my tribe, the value of their care, gifts and talents they showered on me shone brightly in my heart.

At one point after the service I went pale and almost passed out. Thank goodness sweet friends were watching me and got me seated in the fellowship hall and took care of me. I was so focused on greeting every person, I think I forgot to breathe!

Our neighbors provided breakfast at the church. Then our church family provided lunch for us at the church. These 2 groups fed both my body and my soul.

As i left the church, I had the feeling that I had been to a Birthday party for Neal, but that I had gotten all the presents. I left with a strong sense of peace and contentment. 

Thank you for caring for us, loving us in tangible ways, and remembering us in your prayers. My children are still struggling in their grief, and I realize we all are going to carry our hurts for a long time. 

I have Hope for a future where God shows me His Plan for my life. I will find Purpose and Joy in this next season of Life.
