There was to be a new addition to our family in the end of January but my ultrasound last week revealed some shocking news…  No heartbeat.
It was a very sad day and a difficult decision had to be made about how to proceed.  Two days later, on September 9th, 18 1/2 week old Bethany Joy was delivered by induced labor.  Ethan & I were able to hold her tiny limp body in our arms and grieve the loss of our sweet baby girl #4.  It didn’t seem real.  I wanted to wake up from this bad dream and keep looking forward to January when I would rejoice at the birth of our living child.  My heart is so heavy.  This past week has been filled with tears.  Tomorrow, September 15th, we will bury dear Bethany Joy.  We know that she is absent from the body and present with the Lord.  Dear ladies reading this, if one of  yours was lost to a miscarriage, find comfort that your little lamb is in the tender loving care of the Good Shepherd.
