Nancy’s Story

Site created on August 22, 2022

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement.
On Saturday August 20, Nancy, Randy and Mark were attending a family birthday party in Pella IA. Nancy collapsed in full cardiac arrest. Thankfully there was lots of family around that jumped into CPR until the ambulance arrived.  The EMTs needed to use the Defibrillator 3 times to get any heart rhythm back. They transported her to Pella Regional Hospital (2 blocks away). The ER staff stabilized her enough for life flight to U of I Hospitals.  Once she arrived at the U of I she went almost immediately to the catheter lab where they discovered she had no blockage so the problem was most likely electrical with the heart.  We know she has many friends and family that have her on prayer lists. We’ll post as many updates here as we can.  Thank you all, we love you.
