Nancy’s Story

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Our relationship started 44 years ago, when I first met Nancy at the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity house at West Georgia College. After weeks of wanting to ask her out, my fraternity brother finally saw her on campus and told her his roommate wanted to ask her out. Her answer to Mike was, "does he know how to speak." At that point what else could I do but ask her on a date. She said yes and we soon became soul mates. Nancy is one of those rare people that what you see is what you get. She is kind, caring and always has something positive to say. She see's good in everyone.

1 year ago today Heaven gained a new angel

One year ago today, heaven gained a new Angel. The good Lord decided it was time for her to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. We will never know why that was his choice but he sent Angels to escort her into his Kingdom. 

Nancy’s faith gave her strength to fight a long and courageous battle. After years of suffering, there is comfort knowing she is at peace and in a place of unimaginable beauty, tranquility and peace. Nancy’s greatest joy in life was her unconditional love of family.

 The wonderful memories we’ve created, shared and enjoyed will always live on in my heart and in the hearts of Frankie, Monica, Hannah & Dave. Maybe some day I will understand why she was taken so soon. 

So on this day, one year later I hope that tears of sadness will be replaced by the belief in God’s wisdom and love.

Someday all of us who accept the free 
gift of salvation will join Nancy and other loved ones and experience eternal life.
