Nancy’s Story

Site created on May 7, 2022

Hello family and friends,

Some of you may not be aware, but I have been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer.

I first visited the doctor on April 11th and I was not suspecting anything serious. However, my labs indicated a problem that led to a CTscan, a PETscan, 2 biopsies, and the placement of a port in my chest. I am currently working with Mayo Clinic and will be having my first chemo tomorrow.

We know God is holding us with His righteous right hand and walking with us on this journey. John and I ask for your prayers for healing, comfort, and peace. I will update you on how things progress tomorrow.

Nancy L. Danneker, age 73, of Maiden Rock, WI, died on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at her home in Maiden Rock.  A Celebration of Nancy’s Life will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at 5 pm at Maidenwood Events N447 244th Street Stockholm, WI.  Visitation will also be on Saturday, April 29, 2023, from 3-5 pm at Maidenwood Events.  Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.

The Danneker family is asking everyone with pictures of Nancy Lynn and John to drop them in the Bakken Young Dropbox by next Wednesday, April 26! It's easy to do; click the Bakken Young link and download your pictures to the Nancy Memorial page. Bakken Young will do the rest.
