Day 102+
On Sunday, Nacho celebrated his first 100 days post transplant without any huge set backs or problems!! We are so grateful for how Nacho is doing at this point.
Nacho is feeling really well and even reports that in the last couple of weeks his stomach issues have resolved almost completely. We’re praying it keeps going that way!!
This Thursday Nacho has his last weekly appointment in Portland and then we have been given the clear to head back home to The Dalles.
While the more risky time post transplant are the first 100 days, the first year post transplant is still a time of caution while Nacho’s immune system continues to rebuild itself and he continues to recover and gain strength.
We continue to thank God for guiding us through this last year and are prayerful as we look forward to the next year and what it brings.
We thank everyone who has prayed for us and supported us this far on our journey. While the journey isn’t over we feel that the roughest part is behind us. I will try to continue to update on caring bridge as time allows, throughout the rest of this year.

¡El domingo, Nacho celebró sus primeros 100 días después del trasplante sin grandes retrocesos ni problemas! Estamos muy agradecidos por cómo le está yendo a Nacho en este momento.
Nacho se siente muy bien e incluso informa que en las últimas semanas sus problemas estomacales se han resuelto casi por completo. ¡Estamos rezando para que siga así!
Este jueves Nacho tiene su última cita semanal en Portland y luego se nos ha dado permiso para volver a casa a The Dalles.
Si bien el tiempo más arriesgado después del trasplante son los primeros 100 días, el primer año después del trasplante sigue siendo un momento de precaución, mientras que el sistema inmunológico de Nacho continúa reconstruyéndose y él continúa recuperándose y ganando fuerza.
Seguimos dando las gracias a Dios por guiarnos a través de este último año y estamos en oración mientras esperamos el próximo año y lo que trae.
Agradecemos a todos los que han rezado por nosotros y nos han apoyado hasta ahora en nuestro viaje. Si bien el viaje no ha terminado, sentimos que la parte más difícil ha quedado atrás. Trataré de seguir actualizando el cuidado del puente a medida que el tiempo lo permita, durante el resto de este año.
