Man have I been slacking on the updates! I’m sorry to everyone! But…..
Myles has been doing extremely well! We are still battling with arrhythmias but they are a lot less severe. We switched from a medication called esmolol to Sotalo which is a different beta blocker and it seemed to help immensely. We have worked down to not being on oxygen support. We went from 14 IV medications to 7!
In typical Keehner fashion Myles loves to eat! We are working with Speech specialists as bottle feeding is tricky with the paralyzed left vocal cord. So for the time we are laying him in his right side and feeding! The doctors said he is doing excellent and has the sucking and swallowing somewhat figured out! He will probably go for a swallow study so they can watch him swallow on X-ray to watch for aspiration.
Mom had some issues herself as she was feeling light headed for several days. So we went to the Emergency Department and got checked out. The result ended up being mom had some retained placenta! So mom went in and got sedated and had a procedure done to remove the remaining placenta! She has been doing really well since and has been acting like herself!
We are making amazing progress and I will try and update more frequently. We have received so many cards, and even some money from people! We appreciate it so much and feel so loved. We hope everyone that reads this says a prayer for us! We are making forward progress and that’s all that matters! God is Great!
