Journal entry by Gatlin Keehner

Myles had a rough first part of this week. He was back in a lot of SVT. The doctors quickly discovered that Myles had a blood infection. They put him on an IV dose of Vancomycin. It was rough three days until the antibiotics started to work.
With his graft that he had put in Myles will have to stay on the antibiotics for 4 weeks! I guess because it’s a foreign object in the body, the infection can hide there.
Myles did have an ultrasound of all his extremities to check for any blood clots. It revealed that he had one noninclusive thrombosis. That’s a fancy saying for a blood clot that doesn’t close off a vein. He is on a drug called heparin already that will make that go away.
The infection under wraps, no more temps, and so far no arrhythmias we are back on track! Myles has turned into a new kid! We missed his smile, and him having a somewhat normal wake window!
The doctors gave us Thursday and Friday to rest. So yesterday and today the doctors weened down on his respiratory support, and his anti-arrhythmia meds. Myles is strong and the goals for the next week are working on CPAP trials again and getting the tube out! We are going down some on his anti-arrhythmia medication to find his right dosage.
Myles is rocking it like normal! We will keep everyone updated as time goes by! We appreciate all the prayers and support! God is great!!!
