Journal entry by Amy Baumann

I would like start by saying we wish everyone a happy, healthy holiday season this year, and to recap some of the events we have had over the last few months.

Mykaela had her 6 month catheter lab test recently, and we got the result of zero rejection again!! Great news as far as that is concerned for sure. However, she has seen a dip in her grades from her previous track record of basically getting just A's or B's, and this has caused some concerns from Amy and I. We are working with Kaela to bring her grades back up and to also try and get her out of a mindset that she feels where any day could be her last. A sort of medical PTSD we are told.

Back to a brighter note, we enjoyed Thanksgiving by Amy's parents along with her sisters family. It was nice to get everyone together again. It has definitely been a while. We had to unfortunately skip celebrating my mother in laws birthday and mine due to Amy, myself and possibly Kaela getting Covid. 😔  Funny thing about that was Kaela got over it faster than both of us and she's on immunotherapy meds hahaha..

More recently, Kaela has been enjoying spending time over at her friend's house, something she wasn't able to do for well over a year! She also tried out for a play at school and landed one of the lead roles!! It will show sometime in January. Anyone can contact me if they would like more information. She's very excited about doing her first acting gig.

We sincerely hope everyone gets to spend some great quality time with their families these holidays!! You really never know when your time is up, so please makesure you cherish the moments you have with you loved ones.

To my dad's side of my family, I miss getting together with all of you around this time. Hope you are all doing well^^

With much love,

Jon and Amy Baumann ♥️ 🙏
