Journal

well the little miss has been home since Jan 21st which explains our lack of posts. Life has been busy since she has been home. I officially started my leave after work on Friday! Eric has still been Home with her, so I pushed my leave off so we can keep her home with us through the start of April and hopefully out of cold and flu season.
Having her home has been a great change- one with significantly less sleep, wat more laundry and garbage, and lots more love and snuggles! The first night home I am pretty sure that I didn’t sleep a wink- waking to every sound and making sure she was breathing. Working full time, trying to be a mom and a wife was definitely not a small feet, so I am glad that my leave has started. Eric also has surgery last week Tuesday to remove some cysts from his stomach and arms while Mya had her first round of check up. She is doing well, but they did increase her thyroid medication as her tests came back on the low end if normal, and they would like her results a little higher while on this medication. She was an absolute trouper as we were at the hospital about 8.5 hrs from her labs to when Eric got discharged. He is in the mend, and Mya is loving being home and having mommy and daddy home. She is been spoiled with love fro visitors who are all lining up to home the little peanut. She officially turned 3 months on Saturday, while her brother turned 7 years old today! While Mya hasn’t met him yet, they have video chatted and she did “sing” him happy birthday today. 💕
life in the Beck home will never be the same- and we are so thankful to be this far. I still find myself just staring at her- stroking her face or playing with her toes thanking God that we have made it thus far! We are now adventuring in tummy time and wishing for 3 hours between feedings to a demand to snuggle from the little miss. I am completely fine with being subject to the baby’s demands now that I am off of work, but working a 11hr day was ROUGH after a night of 3 feedings in from 11p-6a. She is taking down about 3ounces per feeding and has “graduated” to a higher flow nipple- official out of premier diapers, clothes, and feeding nipples!
We are welcome to guests, as long as your are feeling well! We are hoping to keep her away from sickness, even colds, as long as we can as her lungs are still so fragile. She has been getting RSV boosters each month to help protext her from the virus. They warned us to stay away from public places as much as possible with heron hopes to get through this season without any major illnesses. So my propellers have been growing as I am slowly turning into a helicopter mom- making sure everyone washes their hands and is feeling well before they come over.
However, we are more than willing to have friends come over the snuggle with the peanut pants!
