Morgan’s Story

Site created on October 9, 2023

On September 20th, 2023, Morgan was diagnosed with testicular cancer. Testicular cancer requires surgical removal and then tests to see if the cancer has spread. On September 27th,  Morgan went in for a CT scan and lung x-ray and he had a very small spot on his lungs and in his lymph nodes. He was diagnosed with Stage 2b nonseminoma testicular cancer and is now going through chemo. The good news is that testicular cancer is very curable. While a cancer diagnosis is always serious, testicular cancer is treated successfully in 95% of cases. If you have testicles, remember to check your pair once a month!

Journal entry by Pamela Moore

Great news! We went to Morgan's oncologist and the CT scan that he did shows that he is CANCER-FREE! He is going to be going to check ups at regular intervals to see that he stays that way (an I will post those here).

Now, he is focusing on getting a job (he's working for me but also getting set up as a substitute teacher with his former high school) and growing his hair - his mustache is already coming back and is weirdly much fuller than it was pre-chemo!

Anyway, time to celebrate!!
