We just had a visit to St. Jude, for scans and visits with her care team. Great news…. Her scans were all clear and her brain is beautiful!! The comment that was shared with us, was something to the effect of “you can hardly tell she had a tumor in there before!” Amazing. Her brain has healed so well that the cavity where the tumor once sat is almost completely closed. We return for scans in June.
This week Molly celebrated her 11th birthday!!! Time flies and we are so excited to see what big things she accomplishes in her 11th year of life. This birthday hit me in a much different way than any previous, as expected. I’m grateful that we’re entering a new year cancer free. I had no idea what 5th grade would look like for Molly, at the end of last year. But it turns out, it looks like any other healthy child’s fifth grade year. There’s drama, there’s big feelings and emotions, there’s new friendships, there’s sleepovers, and there’s arguments with a little sister. I LOVE IT ALL!!!!
Just wanted to share a positive update. Sending love to each of you. Keep spreading those #MollyVibes
