Dear Faithful Family, Friends & Supporters,

Hello again….after months.

It has been one year. One long, hard year, since Molly passed away.

It has been one long, hard year & 6 weeks, since we lost our daughter Claire.

They are both sorely missed every single day.

We want to share an update on how Cathryn & I are doing.

The short version...

We are doing well.

I have never liked saying we are ‘Moving On’.

I don’t believe you can, or should, ‘Move On’ from losing the true love of your life, Molly.

I don’t believe you can, or should, ‘Move On’ from losing a precious child, Claire.

I strongly believe you can ‘Move Forward’. I believe that with every fiber of my being.

Cathryn & I are doing just that, ‘Moving Forward’.

We have leaned hard on each other & the multiple strong support systems we have.

We have many support systems. Some we share, some are our own, some were Molly’s, some were Claire’s.

We’ve always recognized & appreciated those support systems.

They have all been meaningful & helpful in different ways.

Cathryn & I have always been close & share a special relationship. Our bond has gotten stronger & more resilient in the last months.

Cathryn has returned to Tacoma, WA.  She working on an organic farm. Something she is very passionate about.

While I certainly miss her, I feel very strongly that she is where she belongs.

She has my full support.

We keep in close touch.

I just returned from a trip to Tacoma. We celebrated her 25th Birthday. We celebrated her day with the important people she has there.

It was a very good trip.

‘Moving Forward’ is a hard fought daily effort.

Cathryn & I continue that effort every day with the love & support of each other & all of you.

You are an integral part of our diversified, multi-faceted, support systems.

Thank you all for being there for us.

To close, this was roughly what I wrote the morning after Molly died. I re-word it today, to include Claire.

Molly & Claire were well loved by so many,

Molly & Claire loved so many,

Molly & Claire are deeply, profoundly missed by so many.

We do our best to honor them with our daily hard fought effort to move forward as best we can.
