Journal entry by Molly Bostancic

Today is three days post my first chemo and I am surprisingly doing pretty well!  So far the largest side effect hitting me is fatigue, being extremely sensitive to the sun, and heartburn/ stomach sensitivity.  I have been trying to keep a "normal" schedule for as long as I can to help my body acclimate to the chemo and I would say that it has been a success so far.  Of course I needed to get some horse therapy in so I went out to the barn yesterday and saw Bear and gave him a little bath.  Moments like that are what help keep me going and remind me that this journey is what you make of it.  I can choose to let the cancer get the best of me or I can choose to keep fighting for what I want and what means the most to me.  I head back to the infusion center for hydration today to ensure I am not becoming dehydrated and so they can have a follow up after the initial round.  Thank you everyone for all the love and prayers!
