I want to start by wishing everyone a Happy New Year! I am grateful to have 2018 behind me. It’s been awhile since I’ve written, so I will update you all. I had my last chemo on November 14th (hard to believe that was almost 7 weeks ago). It took a few weeks before I realized I didn’t feel sick all the time anymore and actually started feeling good. My strength and energy are slowly getting better, although I’m beginning to worry it may never be my old “normal”. I will have to lean to adjust to my new normal. I met with a rehab person about 3 weeks after and she said to take things slowly. I’m actually supposed to meet with someone else about rehab sometime soon but they haven’t set the appointment yet. I’m still tired quite a bit, but I’m staying up later than 6:30pm now and I’m pretty excited about it (usually 8-9). I met with my doctor last Wednesday (26th) for my 6 week checkup and although a few of my blood numbers are a little low, most have come up drastically. He is very impressed with my progress! They have done extensive research and have decided not to do another petscan unless I begin showing symptoms again. As of now, I’m just working on staying healthy and getting my strength and energy back. Back to see the doctor in 3 months. I still can’t believe that a year ago I had no idea what 2018 held for me. I wish you all health and happiness in 2019! Thank you for your support and motivation to help me get through 2018. ❤️
