As some of you know, my brother, Myles, was taken to the hospital on July 29th and stayed for a week. He had pneumonia and elevated Liver Function. He was discharged and sent home for a few days only to be taken back on August 9th and he has been in the hospital since then. Things have changed drastically in just a few short weeks. We are praying for a miracle and continue to seek God's guidance. We have been told to prepare ourselves for a liver transplant (8/14) but then it was all put on hold due to infection and some issues with the Kidneys and Pancreas. On 8/16 he was urgently moved to the ICU and we were told to prepare for the worst due to the infection and worsening functions but we are taking it day by day. We have no idea when anything will take place and things change minute to minute but we are continuously praying for healing and strength. We have not left Myles alone at the hospital at all and are rotating shifts between family members and friends. Thank you for all your prayers, love, and concern. It is still very difficult to talk about over and over so we are going to try to keep updates here. We are grateful to be on this journey with Miracle Myles.

PS. this is a super stream-of-consciousness type journal so please forgive any errors or typos. I write until it feels complete and just post, no time or energy for editing right now. haha.

I often find myself checking the door and catch myself thinking, “oh, Myles should be getting here soon” and then I remember all over again.
