Journal

With a heavy heart I announce the departure from this earth of my Beautiful, Woman of Faith, full of Our Father Gods Grace and Peace, to her Heavenly Home with Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
She is now in My future and I anticipate a joyous reunion with her and other family which have preceded us.
I was with Minerva every day over this last year and a half. I was able to eat meals (usually dinner) at her side. Then I would take approximately an hour to help her move through her exercises to keep her joints flexible. At times she had a Therapist come help her to learn new motions.
Then I was notified by the administrator of Angels Care Guest Home, the facility wher Minerva was lovingly cared for 24 / 7, that a quarantine was being implemented beginning April 1, 2020. We had never been separated by anything before. We shared 34 sweet years of togetherness in marriage. Now I was able to talk with her by phone and even used the “VIBER” app in order to see each other on the phone. (Thank You Heizel a Caregiver at Angels Care Guest Home). For making these calls possible.
However My Honey could not comprehend my absence from her side.
For 19 day’s Minerva’s strength declined and her throat constricted (Dr. Sherry explained, due to stroke) It became very difficult to breathe and so on Monday the 20th she was given oxygen and a nebuliser to assist her with breathing. During the day and for the last time she was placed into St. Jude Hospice Care at the Angels Care Guest Home.
I was given permission (after much negotiation and with gloves and a face mask) to enter her room at 4:30 pm. I Thank God for this! I was able to talk to Minerva and release her to go home with Jesus. I called our Pastor Tom Barkey (she has known him for 40 years). He was able to pray with us on speaker phone.
Minerva, listening to her Pastor praying, closed her eyes and took a couple of calm breaths. At 5:40pm she left, very peacefully. The Hospice nurse, Edith, checked for vitals, blood pressure, lungs, and heart. No signs of activity were present.
Final arrangements are in place for her cremation and ashes to be scattered at sea.
We each have prearranged plans with the Trident Society.
There will be a “Celebration of Life” sometime in the future, after all the quarantine and social distancing is over.
Family has been notified and are very understanding of the situation.
Anyone wishing to tell a memory about Minerva’s life Blessing them, please write it out and send it to me at: mglassjames5014@aol.com or to my mail address. You could even post it here in the comments section of this website.
May God, Our Father, Bless and Comfort you in this time of our journey in life, as He has carried Me through these days and all the days ahead!  May He do the same for you!
Praise The Lord and may His praise be continually in my mouth!
