Journal entry by Jennifer Manetta & Shad Tomlinson —
Milo's surgery went well today!
The bone flap from his original emergency operation was put back in place and it fit nicely (which isn't always the case). There is some titanium mesh holding things in place and Milo is recovering. They also removed his tracheostomy, which is a big step and a big relief.
Milo will be under observation for a few days and if all goes as planned, may come home as early as mid-next week.
At that point, he will do outpatient rehab 3xweek for a while.
We're getting there! Thank you again for all the support.
