Journal
After my first chemo treatment I was able to rebound after a few days and get my strength back and by the weekend Sara and I were ready for a camping trip to the local state park to see if I could manage it. It was great therapy and wasn't too strenuous for me. So now we are planning a three night camping trip somewhere. I'm able to get a decent amount of walking in both on the beach and throughout the campground.
I seem to be loosing about 5lbs the week of chemo, but I am able to bulk up on the off week and gain it back. I have to force myself to eat three good meals, but so far I can eat just about anything I want. (no shell fish or cold things)
The second chemo seemed to have more side effects than the first one which some people have reported on the forums. It an extra day to get back to normal, but we were still able to get our camping in. After the camping my energy returned and I felt really good.
Looking forward tomorrows chemo to see if its better or worse than the last two. Hopefully my body will be able to deal with it in the same way and not have any surprises for me to deal with.
Everyone that sees me is surprised at how good I look and seem to be doing. Of course that's because I don't go out until I feel pretty good.
I continue to do some photography project for artists which is great therapy too.
I am still very thankful to the support I am getting from friends and family. Hope you are blessed always and that you are able to experience joy daily.
