Our hearts our broken...Mike passed away yesterday at 10:58 am.  We were fortunate to be able to have him at home during his bout with metastatic prostate cancer.  Our home setting meant that all of his loved ones could see him whenever we wanted to.  He had a tough couple of last weeks.  He was diagnosed in December of 2021.  On July 14, 2022, his doctor estimated that he had 3-6 months left to live.  At that time, we made the difficult decision to stop treatment and to enter hospice.  Mike kept his positive attitude all of the way through his illness.  He lived his life treating others with respect and patience.  He took a part of me with him, but I promised him that we will see each other again.
