Mike was diagnosed with Glioblastoma, brain cancer, just before Christmas 2018. Mike worked full time and lead a full active life up until going into the hospital. Two weeks prior to his diagnosis he began experiencing weakness and fatigue. His balance had started to decline as well. By God's grace and the help of Joel Steed, he was able to get into UT Southwestern Medical Hospital for his treatment. He has gone through 6 weeks of Radiation and Chemotherapy. This has taken its toll on his body as was to be expected.
God has used human vessels as his vehicle to minister to our every need. The prayers, food, transportation, cards, flowers, and phone calls have all lifted our spirits and made us realize we are not alone in this fight. He has gone before us in so many ways we didn't even know we had a need. We realize we are dependant on him for our every breath and are ready to follow whatever path God has for us while on our earthly journey to our eternal home in heaven.
Mike would like to give a special thanks to Perry Bowen for stepping in and taking over most of the responsibilities for finishing up the homes he has in progress. Without his generous support, he would not be able to continue his business that he loves so much. He also wants to thank his sister Linda Collier and her husband James for all their increased responsibilities related to the business office.
Mike wants to acknowledge our children. Our three boys have all stepped up in various ways to help their Dad and me with all the new responsibilities we face with our new normal. We are very proud of the men they are and the love they have shown us during this difficult time.
