Big news! Doc had surgery yesterday - they were able to reconnect the colon so no more colostomy bag, remove a growth from his kidney, and remove his chemo port. That’s right, Dad is in REMISSION!!!
Dad continues to get stronger. His hair and beard are growing back and he is starting to look more like the Doc we know.
Now we heal from this surgery and keep moving forward. Hopefully he will be back home with mom by Sunday where he has to take it easy for a few weeks.
All of this comes about a year later - May 13th is a day none of us will ever forget, but this year by the grace of God and some luck we will celebrate! Grateful and blessed cannot begin to cover how we feel today.
