Hi everyone! We started this CaringBridge page to help Mike & Laura share updates with family and friends as Mike begins cancer treatments. Your prayers are very much appreciated! Please feel free to post encouraging messages along the way!💜

After noticing an enlarging mass on the right side of his neck, Mike had a fine needle aspiration (FNA) on October 28, 2022. The biopsy results definitively diagnosed cancer cells, specifically metastatic nonkeratonizing squamous carcinoma positive for high-risk HPV. They identified a lesion at the base of his tongue which is likely the primary site of malignancy.

We just got a call from UTSW saying the 1:00 appointment today is going to be rescheduled. They will be calling us back with a new time.  Hope everyone has a blessed Thanksgiving 💕💕💕
