2 Corinthians 12: 9 -10 -- But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
Dad has been working hard with his physical therapist. Today Dad met with his Dr at Froedert. The doctor was very pleased with the bone growth in his femur. It still needs more growth but it is looking good and healthy. All the protein and vitamin D is helping. Dad is now able to drive!! Wow, Mom no longer has to be his chauffeur. He no longer needs to use the leg Jazz machine to stretch his muscle, but Dad is going to continue to use it 1x a day instead of 3x a day just to help stretch his large quad muscle. He will be just using the 1 crutch and continue to work on his stride so that he doesn't limp. They took away his wheelchair and the walker. Praise God for his healing power.
The doctor has cleared him to go back to work on Dec 3 --- 5 months after the accident! He will be able to work 1/2 days and have a lifting restriction of 15 pounds. The doctors and therapist want to get his body back to the condition it was in before the accident.
We thank you for all your prayers. God hears them and has answered them graciously. Dad is doing well. Glory to God. Continue to pray for strength.
