So much progress in the last 2 weeks! Mike is home, surrounded by family, and still working hard!  Ashley has provided this update:

”Mike is getting stronger everyday with a physical therapist whom he like  and she kicks his butt 3x a week!   Another therapist is working him over  2x a week from the house. He’s still walking with a walker and his right leg will be weight bearing in the next couple weeks. 

His rib and back breaks are the majority of his pain. Still many months for those to heal.  His neck brace drives him crazy but he’s mostly compliant in wearing it. Torn ligaments also take a while to heal. 

He’s doing really well physically. He keeps referring to his healing as “watching paint dry”!  Right now, his parents , Cody and I are staying with him at the house.  Cody and I take turns being the night nurse and administering his pills.  He actually doesn’t enjoy the pain pills and has replaced some with natural CBD gummies.  He’s so strong!”

As for a Celebration of Life for Shannon, mid-late June in Evergreen is being discussed, yet nothing confirmed at this time.  We ask for continued prayers to heal Mike’s body and to comfort the  hearts of Cody, Ashley and the entire Hitchcock-Lovejoy family.
