Dear Friends and Family...
     It's been a long journey since our last post 1 year ago.  Mike has received his Retuxin infusion for the IGg4 autoimmune and his labs shows it seems to be under control. Labs are done each month to track its progress.
     The past several months, Mike has been fighting a horrible rash from neck to waist...front and back of his body.  Itching has caused him to be on antihistimines every 2 hours (sleepy time for sure). Dermatologist has tried every cream, lotion, light therapy, immunosuppresant drugs and treatment you could think of with little to no improvement.  A skin biopsy was sent to New York and from there to San Francisco. After a month of waiting, the report from specialists in the nation was inclusive but suspicious of dermatomyositis - a connective tissue disease  affecting muscles but manifesting with a rash (acts like an autoimmune with his own body attacking itself).
     We are praying for God's healing over his body but Mike is also praying God would use this rash in any way He wants.  Please join us in praying not only for Mike's physical healing but also for his mental well being since chronic illness can cause chronic emotional stress.
     I am thankful for Caring Bridge where I can share with you without making individual calls.  This is a blessing at a time when I need to use my energy and time to provide what Mike needs in his life.  Please know that we care about each of you deeply and appreciate each of your prayers on Mike's behalf. 
     We serve a good God, Who has our good on His mind and in His heart!
