Today was a great day so we have to share the good news with all of you. Miracles do happen! It has been two weeks since Mike was dismissed from the hospital. His improvement has been remarkable. Today we had a follow up appointment with Brain Rehab and got the best news. He has been released from their care and we can cancel our sessions planned for Scottsdale Mayo! He can even slowly start to drive again. He passed all the tests he couldn’t pass three weeks ago.
He must continue to do his cardio rehab. They have set up zoom calls for him each week while we are in Arizona to give him new exercises each week to do for cardio and overall physical strength. The heart attack and 11 day hospital stay took a lot out of him but he is doing so well on the journey back.
Cooking is a bit of a challenge with the new low sodium, low fat, low  sugar diet! But we can do this. 
To all of you wonderful friends and family who were praying for and thinking about us along the way, thank you so very much! You will never know how much your kind words of encouragement and care meant to us. I will put in a plug for the Caring Bridge if you are so inclined to make a donation. At a time like that, it was so very helpful to provide an update once, that everyone could see. And, I know you all enjoyed the GarryGirl writing! 
Tomorrow we leave for Arizona…. as planned. We are so grateful to be where we are in less than a month’s time. From the 911 support, the first responders, the police, the ambulance crew, the doctors, nurses, and assistants, to all of you….. my goodness we are lucky!!
