Today marks exactly one month since Mike's accident and we want to recognize just how far he has come in that time thanks to the incredible team at HCMC and The Knapp Center.  Mike is now getting settled into his new home at Brenda's and will have a chance to get back to regular life a little bit. He will have outpatient therapy at Ridgeview and follow-up appointments at HCMC as needed, so he's still got some work left to do.

Now that he is "home", visitors are welcome to reach out to Mike or Brenda to coordinate visits.  Due to his brain injury, Mike is under strict orders from his care team to not consume any alcohol or smoke cigarettes, so we need to just make sure everyone is aware of that.  Mike may have a different opinion so if he asks you to bring him a pack of cigarettes or beer or alcohol, please do not.  We want him to make a complete recovery from his injuries, both physically and mentally, so we don't want to risk setting him back.

Thank you again to everyone for your support and donations to the GoFundMe.  That has really helped us make sure he is set up with everything he needs at Brenda's for a successful recovery.

Updates will probably be less frequent now that there isn't a whole lot to share, but as he continues his recovery, we will try to post some updates of how well he is acclimating to being outside of the hospital.
