Good morning loved ones,
I'm sorry for the delay since my last post but I have great news! The surgeon has confirmed that I am cancer-free and no additional tests are necessary. We've been haggling over the date for my next surgery to remove the structure in my transverse colon and reverse the ileostomy. I had hoped to have it sooner than later, but I'm still finishing recovery from my last surgery and the next one will also require a significant recovery period. Given that May is full of big family moments--Alex returns from Spain on May 9 and Ben graduates from high school on May 28--the surgeon convinced me to schedule the surgery for Tuesday, June 18.
In the meantime, I've resumed all my normal activities (within reason;). I have so appreciated your steadfast love and support during this time. And I will ask for your continued prayers for my next surgery and recovery time in June.
Thank you all so much, and thanks be to God for His healing hand throughout this process.
