Newest Update

Journal entry by Danielle Bailey

Treatment #4 was completed last week on Thursday (2/22) and Friday (2/23). Like last time, they admitted her to the hospital on Friday for the one drug that she reacts to so it could be dripped in slowly. They had to stop again about halfway through to give her more Benadryl but she was able to complete it.

Michele also had a scan and the oncologist gave some encouraging news. This is what Michele shared:

"Oncologist thinks scan looks good. Cancer is shrinking to where they can hardly see it. She showed us pictures of when we started and today. Lots of fluid in the beginning and now it's gone. She said I would definitely need 6 treatments and then she feels I will be done with follow ups every 3 months like before."

Her CA 125 is also down to 19, which is great!

The side effects continue to be another story.  After her hospitalization following that first treatment, she now receives a shot following each treatment to boost her white blood cell count. It causes terrible body aches. She continues to have neuropathy in her feet and has trouble at times with her vision. And there are many, many more side effects, but she powers through because well, she's a bad ass!

She and Dan, and all of us, continue to be in awe of everyone's continued prayers and encouragement. Thank you 🙏
