Michael was discharged Sunday morning, after Grandpa & Grandma Neubauer brought Daniel for a visit. Daniel went home with Grandpa & Grandma again so we could get Michael settled in at home, continue his pain relief regimen, and unpack.
Michael doesn’t seem to be in much (if any) pain, and he doesn’t like taking acetaminophen (he flat out refuses ibuprofen), so I won’t force the matter unless he seems uncomfortable. We are able to dissolve arnica pellets in his bottles, so he’s getting that for pain/swelling relief. 👍🏻
He slept through the night on Sunday, only waking to eat at 5:00, so it felt amazing to get a full night of sleep in our own bed. We’re getting back into a routine of playing, eating, and napping. Napping is a bit tougher since our little guy is teething again, but sore gums are preferable to incision pain. Michael just wants to play all day; I wish I could upload videos to CaringBridge, because he’s having a great time!
I have added some dates to the MealTrain; we have post-op appointments in a couple weeks, and Jeff is going back to work on September 5th. Any help is appreciated, but please don’t feel obligated. 😊
