What a journey it has been to get to this point! For those who aren’t friends with me on fb, Rylee had surgery this past October on her brachial plexus for a suspected brachial plexus injury which didn’t end up being the case, but a story for another time. Her recovery didn’t go as well as we were expecting so thus triggered another hospital stay at Ruby Memorial. I think we should have a wing named after us at this point or something… or maybe our insurance 🤔

It turns out Rylee girl had untreated pulmonary hypertension and her little heart and lungs were working double time! Thankfully after lots of prayers and medical intervention, we were able to bring our girl home in time for Christmas! We were a little bummed that we missed out on our first Halloween and Thanksgiving as a family of 3 in the hospital but oh well… 

Christmas was quite the adventure as we had Grandma and Pappy visiting as well as uncle Kyle and Axel! We had a full house and Rylee girl was very overwhelmed by the amount of gifts she got! We have a very loved girl and a mom who loves buying things for her daughter 😅😅 

We have had several follow up appointments for Rylee girl and her doctors are so thrilled with the progress she has made! 

Over the past month Rylee has grown so much and has developed ever more of a personality! It has been the most fun thing to watch! She’s keeping up pretty well with her adjusted age and it is quite impressive! She’s sitting up on her own now and talking all the time! She’s tried a bunch of food and loves eating! She has just recently started wanting more and more milk and we feel like we have a mini teenager who is gonna eat us out of house and home! 

We are just constantly surprised by what she is able to accomplish and next on the horizon is another surgery with neurosurgery! 

In 43 days we will have a ONE year old! I can’t believe it! This past year has been such a blur and I can’t believe that we have been parents for a whole year! We are planning on having a small celebration with just the three of us and then having a birthday party for Rylee girl in June at one year adjusted(when her birthday would have been,) so keep an eye out of birthday invitations! 

We love our girl so much and love all of you so much!!
