During a routine yearly mammogram my mother (Merrie Thorsen) was told it came out abnormal.  She had to have 3 biopsies taken and all of them came out positive for cancer. So far we have seen the surgeon and started to put a plan together. She will be having a double mastectomy in the next 2-3 weeks.  Next Tuesday, we will be going down to see a plastic surgeon and hopefully get a set date to start this process. My mom has so many wonderful family and friends that have already reached out to her not only through facebook but also through the mail and prayer! I just want everyone to know how very grateful we are to have such wonderful people in our lives!
