I have not posted in a while as there have been few major developments in Merlyn's condition or care.  As I noted previously, she is now home and continues her road to recovery with Ona at her side and Mama Judy riding herd.  She saw her surgeon, Dr. Fox, yesterday, and all is progressing as expected.  I know she has been able to get out a bit here and there, riding along with some errands.  I was so glad to hear this, as fresh air is good for the soul and continued healing.  She is also continuing to be seen by a home health nurse for now, though I imagine that won't be necessary for long. 

I want to clarify something as I understand there has been confusion.  You have been so wonderful in your desire to help Merlyn through this process and the donations of food, items for auction, and money have been so appreciated!  It's a scary thing to face a catastrophic event, knowing the potential to lose everything is a real possibility.  However, I urge you to pay close attention to any links that will permit a donation "to Merlyn."  Apparently, folks have been making donations, thinking they would go to Merlyn when they are actually going to support the Caring Bridge website.  I am appreciative for the donations to Caring Bridge, as without them, we would not have been able to keep you all updated as easily.  However, if you wish your donation to go directly to Merlyn, it will not be a donation button through this website.  I will include the information to which you may direct that particular donation.  If you are concerned that you have donated in error, you should reach out directly to Caring Bridge as I cannot make any corrections.  I appreciate your understanding and consideration.
