Journal entry by Kim Weinberg

Our Dear Family and Friends,

The reverse shiva has been comforting as we have been waiting for Mom to be brought back to Maryland for a funeral.  Two weeks of torment will come to a close as we will lay mom to rest tomorrow at 11:30am at Judean Gardens.  It will be a private graveside service.

While we have been grieving for weeks now, the anguish of starting over again tomorrow, and without any of you with us because of the Covid restrictions, is unimaginable. We have accepted this reality, but it doesn't lessen the pain. We continue to be humbled and grateful for everyone's love and support during this unprecedented time in our lives, let alone our world's history.

Again, we obviously cannot have the in-person gatherings of shiva, but we plan to have a Memorial Service for mom when the social distancing is lifted. Until then, we welcome the best of what shiva provides, but virtually- comfort, stories, memories, photos, touch-points.

We can't say enough how much all of you mean to us, and we are looking forward to happier times ahead with everyone.

All our love,
Donald, Brandt, Kimmy, Larry, Tami, Alexa, Justin, Jenna, Jordyn, and Dillon
