Melissa ’s Story

Missy was diagnosed with cancer in July 2019. Since then she has fought back with class, femininity, incredible strength and optimism. I started this CaringBridge site so that we can keep everyone up-to-date and not rely on text messages or emails. I miss people often that are valued members of TeamMissy.

If you want to support us, we ask you to please pray the rosary for our family and consider donations to Cincinnati Cancer Advisors or the Karen Wellington foundation.

We are grateful for the doctors and staff at the James Cancer Center in Columbus, Ohio and Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio for providing Missy with exceptional care. We are also deeply grateful for Procter & Gamble for providing retiree health care which has covered with us majority of her health care costs.

Edit:
Missy died at 7:20am on Thursday May 18 with Maria and Todd at her side. Over 200 people paid their respects at her visitation. Her beautiful funeral mass was at Saint Margaret of York Church where she previously managed all of the church flowers. Her body is buried at Gate of Heaven cemetery very near the bell tower and fountains. A wonderful celebration was held at Kenwood Country Club following her burial.
