From Melanie-

Well today has been a good day. I am able to eat protein… mostly seafood and beef. Chicken is still iffy, but I am fine. All vegetables are good.

I have been blessed with sweet friends to take their time to come by!! Thank you. Visitors are welcome as long as you are healthy and have not been exposed to illness.

My legs are back to normal size. I am walking well. I just tire easily.  So you may see me walking with a rollater for long distances. Ha! If it ever gets cool, I am hitting the bricks. 👍

I am tolerating the chemo well. I even drove home the day after with my sister sitting in the passenger seat. For now, the plan is to remain in treatment in Huntsville. Many reasons why. My oncologist is seeing if I can receive it every 6 weeks instead of 3. I can do either. My kidney, Lucy, is doing well. No concerns for that area.

Guess what I did today? Got up, helped Pop with breakfast. Made coffee. Mowed the lawn for about an hour. Yes!! I was beyond weary and trembling afterwards, but I must push it!! 😉

While outside, my sweet cousins came to pick the last of the muscadines . I tried helping them and a wasp stung me on my index finger. Dadbobit that hurt!! I screamed a little scream!! I put some purification oil on it and it is swollen, but tolerable. 😉😄

Football season is here. I am so grateful for that. Roll Tide Roll. Yes, I pull for most of the SEC. 🤪

I picked up a book I have had for a time, called ONE IN A MILLION by Priscilla Shirer. I am enjoying this. He is pricking my heart. Please remember that all of this we go through is to make us more like Him. He loves us so much. He wants to be our strength, our Provider. But, we must admit to Him when our strength is kaput, GONE!! He wants us to need Him more than we want others to need us. End your struggling and allow Him to be what you need. I picture a child in the water, arms stretching wide on their back, trying to float. Then that gentle pressure of an adult placing a hand at their back to keep them afloat. Let His hand keep you afloat!!!
Love you folks! I wish I could hug y’all daily!!!😘
