Today we are grateful for Melanie. As we sat holding her hand and surrounding her with an abundance of love when she took her last breath it reminded us of how beautiful of a person she was inside and out. She was flawless and perfect. Melanie passed away this morning in her sleep at the Willard Walker Hospice House around 12:15 AM surrounded by family.
Melanie fought a courageous battle the past 9 years and her body failed her. She was witty and sharp with her sense of humor until the last 24 hours, when she shared with us that she was tired. We reassured her that it was ok to go, that she fought hard, and with grace and that it was ok to say “See ya later”
Her children let her know that they would be ok and that they did not want her to be in pain any longer. She got a visit from her loving 11 year old German Shepherd, Asta and that filled her heart with so much joy.

Sissy, you will be so deeply missed by ALL.
