Hi Everyone!!

I thought I would post an update on Mel to help give everyone a better idea of just how well she is doing.

over the last month, Melanie has been getting stronger and stronger. She has had some setbacks, but pushes right through them.  Melanie was moved to MICU about a week before Christmas, and continued fighting to breath on her own..

Melanie had had enough of the vent, lol.. errr I should say, her body had.. She has been breathing on her own now for approximately 3 days.. she’s beem up taking walks, and has even gone up and down stairs.

Doctors are hopeful that she will move to a step down room within the next few days.

Mels incisions look incredible! Her skin looks amazing, and best of all.. her lungs are working beautifully!!!
