Journal entry by Megan Lynch —
When I first saw the "memorialize this site" option on the Caring Bridge editing panel, I shuddered. I had a similar experience when the Vanderbilt app prompted to to "create an end-of-life plan." I had the unsettling feeling that these apps knew something I didn't, and that my human mind was in denial about how much time on earth I had left. But today I'm going to click "memorialize this site" for the best reason: I no longer need a way to update the people in my life about my health. My health is good again, and based on what I've learned and how I'm applying it, I predict it will be for a long time to come. But there are a few things I wanted to leave here before I go.
A writer from the TN Register, our local Catholic newspaper, wrote and shared my story recently. I'm so grateful for his generosity and talent; he told the story of our struggle this fall much better than I could have done myself. The story can be found here:

If you're ever interested in updates from me, I'm planning to resume my blog at www.meganlynchbooks.com. Ryan and I have several projects we're juggling, including our small press, Snow Day Catholic, so I'll do my best to keep everyone up-to-date on that and more.
Before I close out this page, I have to thank you once again for everything. I cherished every comment, gift, and encouraging word. The ways you've shown your love have brought me closer to the source of our light and changed me in ways that were previously unimaginable. I love you all and will continue praying for you daily!
