So I have a new update and concern for Megan. She recently saw a cardiologist because of her low heart rates at night. And EKG was done and her numbers were high 484 ms for what’s called prolonged QT.
She is now wearing a Zio patch for 2 weeks which will monitor her heart rate 24/7.  Then we will see a specialist to see what if anything we can do to help her.
This may explain why she’s so tired all the time too.

A prolonged QT interval can be dangerous because it can disrupt the timing of the heartbeat and lead to fatal arrhythmias.
This condition is called long QT syndrome
(LQTS), which is an abnormal feature of the heart's electrical system. LQTS can cause a potentially life-threatening arrhythmia called torsades de pointes (TdP), which can result in fainting or sudden cardiac death.

A corrected QT interval (QTC) of 500 milliseconds (ms) or more is generally considered a high risk for torsades de pointes (TdP), a life-threatening type of ventricular tachycardia. For men, a QTc greater than 440 ms is considered prolonged, while for women it's greater than 460 ms. For every 10 ms increase in QTc, the risk of TdP increases exponentially by about 5-7%.
 Megan’s is 484.
