Newest Update

Journal entry by Maria Garrison

It has been a long time since I have given an update.  Megan is still at home and doing well.  She is slowly weaning from the medications she was on while in the PICU (I had no idea how hard this would be).  She went back to school this week and is thrilled to be there. While it is only for a short period of the day she lives for going to school and seeing her friends and teachers.  We are all adapting to her new normal.  I want to thank Sistersville General Hospital for the kind words and stickers they sent to Megan.  It has taken her quite a while to get through them all and the care package.  As a nurse I imagine working with such a close and caring community is truly a gift.  Also RUSS the flu shot guy… MVP for the penny!  It hasn’t left her desk.
